Privacy notice
Under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Last updated: 20 October 2026.
1. Who processes your data
FlexKit is an entrepreneurial project born in the Electric Power Systems group of Politecnico di Milano and not yet incorporated as a company. The data controllers are the project founders: Diego Andreotti, Riccardo Nebuloni and Edoardo Daccò (“FlexKit”, “we”).
For any question about your data, write to info@flexkit.eu.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form: full name, work email, company (optional), the content of your message and the language of the page you write from.
- Technical browsing data: the hosting provider automatically logs data such as your IP address and the pages requested, which are needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The site uses no cookies, no analytics or profiling tools, and loads no resources from external services.
3. Why we use it and on what basis
- To reply to your request and, if you wish, discuss a possible project: pre-contractual steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in replying (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- To keep the site working and secure: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Filling in the form is optional, but without your name, email and message we cannot reply.
4. How long we keep it
We keep requests for as long as needed to handle them and no longer than 24 months after the last contact, unless a contractual relationship follows. Technical browsing data is kept by the hosting provider according to its own policies.
5. Who can see the data
Your data is processed by the FlexKit founders and by providers acting as data processors:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States), for hosting the site and receiving form messages;
- the provider of the mailbox where we receive request notifications.
Transfers to the United States rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
6. Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest and receive your data in a portable format (Articles 15–22 GDPR) by writing to info@flexkit.eu.
If you believe the processing breaches data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
7. External links
The site links to pages on other websites, such as those of the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano. Those sites have their own privacy notices, for which FlexKit is not responsible.
8. Changes
We may update this notice, for example once FlexKit is incorporated as a company. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
